No
backyard is complete without certain things in which to enjoy it; a few
lounging chairs, maybe a pool, a BBQ, and a fire pit to sit around and enjoy
those party nights or just when hanging out with your friends.
But
what if you could combine those last two items and have a really great,
backyard BBQ fire pit, DIY style?
Here
are five really cool examples of what happens when food, danger, and creativity
mix.
Beetle BBQs
Do you have an old beetle parked in your garage? Of course
you may! Simply add a grill and you’re in business. NOTE:
Please remove any gas from the gas tank before lighting…
Motorcycle BBQ
This
Chopper was commissioned by Andrew Fischel, owner of “RUB” barbecue in New York
& Las Vegas. The chopper was built by Orange County Choppers and the side
car BBQ was built by BBQ Pits by Klose. Andrew, with the help of his friend
Josey Scott, lead singer for Saliva, they unveiled the chopper at Sturgis bike
week in August 2007.
This
is a show piece and has only one hour on the engine
Pirate ship
BBQ
This picture first surfaced on Reddit, and while most people
commended the craftsmanship and its looks, a bunch of brilliant people decided
that it was actually a BBQ set waiting to happen. We’re glad we have our
priorities straight, guys! This by far is the best fire pit/ grill I have ever
seen. Cook in style and pretend you are a pirate at the same time.
Use your hook hand to flip the meat! Time to Baaaarrr-BQ matey.
Baby stroller
BBQ
This baby is portable, and is sure to cause some women to have
heat attacks when they arrive at your house for your family BBQ this summer. It was
originally found in the countryside around Houston, this is believed to be a
turn-of-the century baby carriage made in London, England.
When David Klose found this baby
carriage, it was beyond recognition, totally crushed and completely rusted out.
Then, after three weeks of restoration and a few beers. It was discovered to be
an Allwyn Pramelator made in London Circa 1906. The hood folds down to complete
the smoker effect, for cooking things like brisket, ribs, chickens and of
course, Baby Back Ribs.

Grills & Drink Cool
What
about this? BBQ and beer cooler. When you've drank all the beer and the ice has
melted, just flush to extinguish the fire.
