12-year-old calls the police after being served a salad by their parent

A 12-year-old Canadian boy picked up the phone and dialed 911 to lounge a complaint after his parents gave him and his siblings a sizeable serving of salad for lunch. Disclosing this via a statement, the Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police, authorities report that the incident happened on Tuesday in Nova Scotia. The boy is said to have called the police twice after being served a salad by a parent, which wasn't to their liking. Police did respond to the call and although they were happy to talk to the child about their dislike of the food, they chose to highlight the importance of not misusing the emergency services. In the statement, Dal Hutchinson says: “While many can relate to the dislike of a salad at times, this raises a more important issue that warrants discussion at all ages. The improper use of 911 is an issue with all age groups and it ties up valuable resources, preventing emergency first responders from dealing with real emergencies.”

Amazing Eats

Everyday people break records and while some are recorded for pride or posterity sake, others trailblazers just let their achievements slide, perhaps because they don’t attach much significance to them.
They haven’t come to grasp with the fact that records are not only broken in the laboratory or the field, but can be done in the kitchen.
Here are five amazing records people would ordinarily not have paid attention to:
1.                Most expensive hot dog
The most expensive hot dog is $169 (£101.69; 122.96€) and was sold by Tokyo Dog (USA) in Seattle, Washington, USA, on 23 February 2014. In fact, the ingredients list for the footlong frank would make a Michelin-starred chef blush: the Juuni Ban contains smoked cheese bratwurst, butter Teriyaki grilled onions, Maitake mushrooms, Wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, caviar and Japanese mayonnaise, all served up in a brioche bun.
2.                Largest pizza
The largest pizza has a total surface area of 1,261.65 m² (13,580.28 ft²) and was prepared by Dovilio Nardi, Andrea Mannocchi, Marco Nardi, Matteo Nardi and Matteo Giannotte (all Italy) from NIPfood at Fiera Roma, in Rome, Italy, on 13 December 2012.
The pizza was named "Ottavia", a word of Roman origin for "eighth son", as a homage to the first Roman emperor Octavian Augustus, who represented an epoch-making change in the history of Rome and brought the Empire into a period of economic and cultural unrest.

3.                Heaviest green cabbage

The heaviest cabbage weighed 62.71 kg (138.25 lb) and was presented at the Alaska State Fair by Scott A. Robb (USA) in Palmer, Alaska, USA, on 31 August 2012. Scott A. Robb has previously held a number of Guinness World Records for heaviest vegetables, including the 'Heaviest turninp', among others.

4.                Most Big Macs consumed

The most Big Macs consumed was achieved by Donald Gorske (USA), who ate his 28,788th Big Mac in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA, on 24 August 2016.
Donald typically eats fourteen Big Macs each week, purchasing them in bulk and microwaving them at home. In the last forty-four years, there have been only eight days in which he did not eat a Big Mac - most recently, on 23 November 2000.

5.                Most hot dogs eaten in 3 minutes

The most hotdogs eaten in 3 minutes was 6 and was achieved by Takeru Kobayashi (Japan) for Bikkuri Chojin 100 Special #2 (Fuji TV) at Kashiwanohakoen Sogokyogijo, Kashiwa, Japan, on 25 August 2009. He beat the previous record by two hot dogs.
Takeru Kobayashi (b. 15 March 1978) is a Japanese competitive eater and a member of the International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE). He has won the hot dog eating competition for nearly six years, and is ranked third in the world for competitive eating according to the International Federation of Competitive Eating.
